Found a good debate at this link relating to FIA comments about protecting the status of the German Grand Prix and that ther should be 4 GPs in Europe which should be the Italian, German, British and Monaco Grand Prix. These were singled out because they were historically special and should remain in the calendar. But no mention of the French GP!!

Anyway it’s a good thread, interesting comments made with varied points of view.
